Throughout the course of the spring semester, the children have been interested in building houses.  Today the children used large blocks to build a house on our patio.  

I drew two skeletons. The taller one is dad and the smaller one is me.

During the month of May, the children showed an interest in the human body.  They began to use outlines of bodies as a template for drawing bones, organs, and what they thought was underneath our skin.

During the week of May 20^th, the children in the afternoon were interested in what made a house strong.

We need to make a house. It needs a roof too.

Over the course of the week, the children explored with the hollow blocks on the red carpet.  The children used the blocks to build towers, support marble mazes, and to make animal cages.
