making the most yummy cupcakes. Can I have
that spoon?

During the
week of September 10, the teachers provided clay as an open-ended
experience. On Friday, September 14, the
children brought over the baking goods from the dramatic play kitchen. Throughout the course of the morning, the
children used rolling pins, cookie cutters, measuring cups, a wooden spoon and
a pie pan to bake things for each other.
Using a kitchen timer, the children shared the tools needed. “Can I have the rolling thing? I need to have flat dough for my cookies.” “But I need the spoon to mix it all together!” “Look!
I cut out a star cookie!”
