I’m
making cupcakes!

In a
continuing exploration of cooking and baking, the children explored with clay
and a muffin tin. The children rolled
out the clay, and then put the clay inside the muffin tin. The children used a wooden spoon to push the
clay into the tray. During clean up
time, one of the children was concerned that the “muffins” would not come out
of the tray. Using the same wooden
spoon, she scooped the clay out of the tray, and counted the number of
“muffins” she cooked. “I’ve got 1, 2, 3,
4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9! 9 muffins!”
