need to mix this potion. Help me mix the
potion!

On Monday,
November 5, the children continuously talked about “potions!” “I’m going to make a potion and stir it up
like a witch does.” “I’m going to make
my own potion with all these things here.”
The children used all the different types of letters found and the
writing center and began to mix them up.
They used letters made of wood and felt, as well as letter stamps, rocks
with painted and etched letters, and letter beads. The children began to use the jars to
mix. To expand on their idea, I provided
them with a large pot and a ladle to mix.
After the potion was finished, the children worked diligently to sort
all the materials into different jars.
